Examination and Awarding Body
This certification is awarded by the Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan (IFMP). The final certification examination is conducted through the IFMP Learning Management System (LMS) in accordance with IFMP’s examination policies and procedures.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this programme, you will be able to:
- Explain the concepts, objectives, and significance of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) within modern financial systems;
- Identify and evaluate common money laundering, terrorist financing, and financial crime typologies, risks, red flags, and emerging threats;
- Apply Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) requirements in line with risk-based compliance frameworks;
- Conduct customer, product, service, and organizational AML/CFT risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation and monitoring measures;
- Understand the regulatory, governance, reporting, and compliance obligations associated with effective AML/CFT programmes;
- Interpret and apply international AML/CFT standards, including FATF
- Recommendations, sanctions requirements, and global best practices; and
- Contribute effectively to organizational AML/CFT governance, compliance, financial crime prevention, and the promotion of a culture of integrity, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
