Most industrial or manufacturing business normally take up the Industrial All Risks (IAR) coverage for their property risks.

The coverage provided under the IAR Insurance policy will be elaborated during this two session virtual course specially organized by the Insurance Institute of East Africa. Examples of relevant case studies will be used to highlight how the policy responds to respective industrial incidents. The application of pandemic related issues like Infectious Disease and Denial of Access Clauses will also be addressed during this interactive online session. Pooba is a professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in construction, engineering, insurance and loss adjusting. He is based in Singapore and has dealt with construction, engineering and property risks and claims for various insurance companies and reinsurers.

Pooba has handled some high profile engineering/ construction cases in the past and is a well-known presenter on project risks and claims handling proce- dures in the Asian region. He is also a regular trainer/ presenter with various regional bodies like The Singapore College of Insurance (SCI), The Building Construction Authority (BCA) Academy, The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) and The Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA).

He served as the President of the Insurance Law Association of Singapore (ILAS) for three terms. Pooba is a well-known trainer and facilitator in the Asia Pacific and Africa regions.
